On it, it would have a whole variety of different biomes and caves and you could obviously also build a static base on its back. Maybe we could see an iceberg with Penglings as an easteregg or even as it's own biomeĪs the starting area i really hope for a huge Reefback leviathan that basically circles the entire map. Maybe have some sonar buyos that you can drop into them and that can send you basic info on POI. I thought Below Zero was nice, but it lacked the depth *badumm tsss* of the first game.Īs a new feature i'd really like to see currents in the open ocean that allow for travel, but also restrict some areas and obviously affect the ecosystem. I hope the new Scenario is again more focused on the vertical aspect of the ocean. I love going back to my base to recharge after long treks. I think tech and base building are pretty on point though. Stalkers were great for this: Big and scary when I first saw them, more annoying than dangerous when I got used to them, useful when I finally understood them, and still had personality as I occasionally forgot and left a remote drone too close to the kelp and had to deal with the consequences. A little bit of inconsistency would go far in bringing back a sense of immersion and respect for the games primary animated antagonists. ![]() It gets bland seeing a cool leviathan, and ignoring it because I know how to skirt the aggro range and it won't hit my sub for lethal before I leave its range. I want some new behaviors and varied interactions with the wildlife, no more constant patrolling limited areas. I like the story and NPC interactions, but I feel I should go out of my way for them, not have them interrupt me. Less active chatter, and let me immerse myself in the inbetween moments staring out into the water until it fades and wondering if the movement I saw was a trick of the mind or something BIG. Multiplayer is good, but so is isolation.
